Plain-language summary: WasteOfSpace collects only what it needs to show you nearby sales and run the marketplace, we don't sell your personal information, there's no payment in the app, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Who we are

WasteOfSpace is published by Lenud Technologies ("Lenud", "we", "us"). For anything privacy-related, contact [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account details — your name, display name, and email address when you create an account.
Sales you post — sale type, hours, item photos, prices, and the pin location of your sale.
Messages & holds — messages with buyers or hosts, and hold requests (including the pickup code and countdown).
Saved sales & searches — the sales you bookmark and the item searches you set alerts for.
Support messages — the contents of messages you send our support team.

Information collected automatically

Approximate location — a general location (not your exact address) used to show nearby sales and sort them by distance. You control this through your device's location settings.
Device & usage data — device model, OS version, app version, language, and basic events like crashes that help keep the app working.
Notifications — a push token, if you enable alerts, so we can send closing-soon and new-sale notifications.

Purchases of WasteOfSpace Pro are processed by the App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, but we never receive your full card details.

3. How we use information

To show you nearby sales, search results, and routes, and to run the marketplace.
To enable messaging, holds, saved sales, and alerts.
To provide WasteOfSpace Pro features to subscribers.
To respond to support requests and communicate about your account.
To review reports, prevent abuse, and keep the marketplace safe.
To meet legal obligations where they apply.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to advertise to you.

4. How WasteOfSpace handles your data

Because WasteOfSpace connects you with people and sales nearby, a few practices are specific to it:

Sales & item photos — details and photos of a sale are visible to other users once it's live, so don't include anything private in them.
Host address — a host's exact address stays hidden until the morning of the sale; before that, only the general neighborhood and pin area are shown.
Approximate location — we use a general location to show nearby sales and never share your precise location with other users. You decide where and when to meet.
Holds — a hold shares a pickup code and countdown between you and the host; there is no payment in the app.
Planning a crawl — when you send a route to your Maps app, that hand-off is handled by your chosen maps provider under its own terms.
Messages — messages are stored so conversations work across devices and so we can respond to safety or abuse reports.
Public profile — shows your display name and your live sales; it does not show your email, phone number, or precise location.
Safety — we may review reported sales and messages to enforce our rules.

5. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run WasteOfSpace — such as cloud hosting, crash reporting, push-notification delivery, and email — and only as needed. Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play, and routes you choose to open are handed to your maps provider. Listings and your public profile are, by design, visible to other people using the app. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and our company.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Saved sales clear automatically once a sale ends. You can remove individual listings at any time, and you can delete your whole account from Me → Settings → Account → Delete account, which removes your listings, messages, saved sales, and profile. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where a longer period is required by law. You can also request deletion by emailing [email protected].

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] — we respond to every request.

8. Age

WasteOfSpace involves arranging in-person pickups with other people and is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.

9. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable cloud infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we design WasteOfSpace to hold as little sensitive data as possible — including keeping host addresses hidden until the day of a sale.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of WasteOfSpace after a change means the updated policy applies.
